Evolution

Evolution vs. Creation. Now that I've got your attention, I would like to say that I am not here to argue one side or the other because, quite frankly I believe they both are true. I would like to focus on the aspect of evolution and Darwin's theory of natural selection where the strong (or most able to adapt to their surroundings) survive. Most people agree that some form of evolution exists or existed, but I always believed that science based this theory on fossils and bones from thousands, or even millions, of years ago. After watching a little of the Discovery Channel, I don't believe this anymore. There was a program called "Humanzee" which showcased a chimp/human that some believe is a half breed or some evidence that evolution exists today. Oliver, as he is called, walks upright, has less hair on his head and face (much like a human), and is only attracted to human females. He even watches television in his spare time. Now, some things he does could be the result of training him (as he did live the first few years of his life with chimp trainers). There are some things, however, that training and science can't explain. He walks upright, which some chimps do but only for a limited amount of time. Chimpanzees are not built to walk upright because of their bone structure and the way their body proportions are shaped. Oliver always walks upright and has for almost his entire life. He is attracted to human females and even tried to rape his female trainer one day. That is weird. Is Oliver a species of his own that provides the link between humans and primates like chimpanzees? Or is he just the offspring of these two species who inter-species mated? I know it sounds impossible, but look at what science has done with ligers and mules. Maybe evolution itself is just the history of two similar species that mate with the resulting offspring out-lasting its parents. You decide and send me your thoughts.

What recession?

I saw something on the Internet today that made me sick. I know what you're thinking, but it wasn't on stile project or rotten. I wasn't even looking at some fucked-up crazy porn. It was on ESPN.com. Here is the link and you can see for yourself.

It is ridiculous how much these guys make in a year. And we're in a recession? Give me a break if you want to try and tell me that they deserve what they get paid. They are playing a sport, not performing emergency surgery or teaching the future of America. Now, before you go thinking that I am boycotting these players or sports...stop. I love sports just as much or more (probably way more) than the average fan. I am just sick of the vast majority of the American work force losing or being in danger of losing their jobs, while these guys are all getting multi-million dollar raises. I figured my wife and my salaries combined and punched it into the salary cruncher. We would both have to work together 286 years to make what Albert Haynesworth makes in one season. Holy shit, that it astounding! And that isn't even the worst. To make A-Rod's yearly salary, we would have to work 560 consecutive years. Now, maybe if I was Methuselah (that's right I've read the Bible) I could possibly acheive this feat, but I'm not. Perhaps the most disgusting thing is the fact that we have nobody to blame but ourselves as sports fans. Maybe if we would stop paying $65 for nosebleed seats at an NFL game, salaries would start dropping...maybe. Until then, I guess I will continue to root on these modern-day gladiators from the best seat in the house...my couch.

first post

so im going to beat even further to death a topic that is already lying bloody and bruised on the sports world floor: drugs in sports. i swear if i hear another top story on ESPN about this baseball player who took that steriod, or this swimmer who happened to get caught holding what only appears to me to be a vase of some sort, i am going to go on strike from watching sports...ok ok i didnt really mean that. i dont know if i could survive without my ESPN...its like oxygen to my body. but about michael phelps...he smoked weed. there, i said it. who fucking cares? first of all, dont get me started on the topic of legalizing pot. we all know that wont happen until the american society as a whole removes the proverbial stick from their ass. if it grows from the ground and it has survived millions of years of evolution and climate changes, then its fair game...no different than steaming some broccoli or carrots. second of all, the guy is 24 years old and the sports world has had him crowned and positioned as a role model since before the 2004 olympics when he was only 19. how can you expect a 19 year old to keep himself out of trouble and out of the negative limelight when anybody who has a phone around him is going to take a picture of him if they see him out at a party. he only has one of the most recognizable faces in the international sports world. kids have fun and experiment at parties, we have all done it at some point in our lives whether it was drugs, sex, or for the much older generations, rock and roll. he acted exactly like he should have acted...like a fuckin kid having some fun. im done with that. as far as steriods... A-rod? really? is this actually happening right now? does the game of baseball have anybody left who is actually as good as we think they are without performance enhancement? i dont care if it was a substance that was or wasnt banned at the time. im just tired of hearing about somebody else that is speculated or convicted of using. just stop doing it so i dont have to read or hear about it everywhere i look. thats all i ask for. thats pretty much all i am willing to talk about this whole topic. hopefully i will stop seeing it everywhere and this will be the first and last post about it...
